So I hope people will take interest in my blog and I figured since one of the things I’ll be blogging about is wedding planning that I would share the story of how my fiancé proposed J I've been with him for almost 3 years and I knew it was going to happen soon when he talked to my dad in January. He let me pick out my ring and then the rest was up to him. He tried to recreate the day we started dating (which was in June of 2009). The day we got together was his graduation party which was at a nice park/forest with a pool. So obviously we couldn't go swimming outside in February (also we are away from home as we are in school so we couldn't go to the exact places that are in our home town) so anyways he took me to the closest park/forest area he could find and it was so pretty with all the snow on the ground. We walked around, had some laughs and just enjoyed each others company. So after that we went to Applebees for dinner. The day we started dating we went bowling with some friends that night and it was in the parking lot of the bowling alley that I told him I was finally ready to be with him (I had just gotten out of a really long relationship). So anyways the closest bowling alley he could find around here is unfortunately closed down, but he took me there anyways for the symbolism. So we park in the parking lot, it was dark so he left the headlights on, we get out of the car and I look at him and say to him what I said to him the night we started dating which was I'm finally ready to be with you, he jokingly says oh what do you mean, so I say well I'm ready to be your girlfriend. Then he says well I think I'm ready to be more than your boyfriend, and I play stupid and say what do you mean and he says I want to be your fiancee, so I say oh really? He answers yes really and then he says all these sweet things about me then gets down on one knee and says Sara (the rest of my name) will you marry me? And I of course said yes :) So that is my engagement story. Some people may not find it very romantic but I do because I know he put a lot of thought into it and it was his own unique way of doing it and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him :) June 13th 2013 can't come soon enough!
